Far East Su-27 and Su-35 Conduct Training (Video)

The report clearly says dzYOmgi even though I have heard it as Dzemgi too :)  I thought Russian was the same everywhere!  It also says that these pilots have "mastered" the Su-35.  There is an idiom I'm not sure I understand, "Крылом самолет то открывает солнце, то закрывает его"  I also have no idea what "Frolov's Cup" is.

Su-27 and Su-35 Fighters Conduct Training Missions in the Far East Skies

Fighter aviation Su-27 and Su-35 pilots gauged their combat quality in the skies above Komsomol'sk-Na-Amure.  The Far Eastern aces are the first in our Air Forces to have mastered the super-maneuverable multirole Su-35 fighter.  In the previous year, 15 new fighters were delivered to Dzemgi airbase.  The pilots conducted flight training at minimum and supersonic speeds.

With aircraft wings the sun opens and also closes.  With thrust vectoring engines, pilots perform all of the elements of difficult maneuvers including "Pugachev's Cobra" and "Frolov's Cup."  This figures must be studied by all aircrew who fly in the new Su-35.

Пилоты истребительного авиаполка проверяют в небе над Комсомольском-на-Амуре летные и боевые качества истребителей Су-27 и новейшего Су-35. Дальневосточные асы первыми в наших ВВС освоили сверхманевренные многоцелевые истребители Су-35. В прошлом году на авиабазу Дземги поступили 15 новейших машин. Пилоты выполняют летные задания как на минимальных, так и сверхзвуковых скоростях.

Крылом самолет то открывает солнце, то закрывает его. За счет двигателей с изменяемым вектором тяги пилот выполняет все элементы сложного пилотажа, в том числе «Кобру Пугачева» и «Чарку Фролова». Эти фигуры должны научиться выполнять все экипажи, летающие на новейших истребителях Су-35.
